i bought myself a copy & proceeded to be suprized. now, i haven't read it cover-to-cover and this is the first time i've ever seen it, so i can't say if you'd like it or not or even if i like the mag overall. however - it seems like a very down-to-earth publication and the 'fat' article was worth the purchase.

what i was interested in, of course, is what this article was about - while it still mentions grains -it makes some good points. keeping in mind, the focus is not allergens - it's around trying to dispell the common misconceptions around lowfat/no fat and diet foods being good for you and fats being the antichrist of a healthy lifestyle. it does touch on hormonal response a bit and has some references to admissions by the American Heart Association (AHA) on fat being linked to heart disease, debunking rumors that breast cancer is related to fatty diets, and again reitterates that fat - overall - isn't good for you is a lie. i think it's worth the time to find it and read it and explore a little more.

the science/knowledge behind the article, i'm thinking is mostly coming from Gary Taubes - I just did a quick google search and found this clip on his book Good Calories, Bad Calories. then i thought, heck - might as well check out robb's site to see if he has info on Gary Taubes - and he does on his CrossFit Norcal Site. go figure. :)

well, enough of sending you all over the internets. i've done my exploring for the night. i was just excited to see something out there in the world that said "YOU'RE FAT & YOU'RE WRONG ABOUT FAT!" .
