I still started the week off with a WOD... one of the on-ramp workouts which is pretty sweet. I was woozy and pukey before we even started and found myself dry heaving on the side of the garage immediately after. I'm a charmer, what can I say.
Anyway, I am going to strive to not cheat again until the challenge is over. I'm thinking more about cheating... Before I would say - it's a special occasion or holiday or 'I just feel like it' and I was finding myself slipping things in all over the place that I shouldn't be eating. I thought about 1 cheat meal per week, but that seems kind of often for me b/c I'm still not as paleo-disciplined as I aspire to be... I think for now: get through the 30 days and maybe it's a 2x per month cheat. It has to be a big deal to cheat, it has to be planned and it has to be worth it!!! Because isn't that the point? To strive to be as compliant as possible at all times and make it a lifestyle not a diet?
We shall see how I feel next week. To sum it up, check out some milestones from Week 1:
Milestones:
- 7 days down!
- 5 pounds lost already
- Can wear my wedding ring again (it's only been, what, 2 years?!)
- Feel 110% better
- Can drink less & get drunk faster - who doesn't like that?
You should have seen the difference in my grocery shopping this week, too. I stuck around the outside isles the whole time except to grab some frozen veggies and spices. Pretty good!
Anyone try/do anything different? Eat anything tasty? Totally blow the top off on their cheat meal (if they had one)? Share in comments!!
